Harvester Simulator Controls

The harvester simulator is designed to be used with two styles of controls: PC or replica controls. You can choose the option that best fits your operator training program and budget.

PC Controls

To maximize cost-effectiveness, the harvester simulator offered by VISTA can be used with low-cost, off-the-shelf PC joysticks. VISTA recommends the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, shown at right. Why? Because the same joystick may be used for both the right and left hands, and it offers a large number of switches for the thumb along with additional switches in the base, which means you can customize it to meet your training needs. Logitech Attack 3 joysticks may also be used with this simulator.

VISTA also offers table-top mounting brackets are to bring the PC joysticks down from table-top height to the sides of an ordinary chair, to better mimic the positioning of real controls in the cab of a real harvester.

Replica Controls

VISTA also offers these replica controls with eight pushbuttons that provide an intermediate level of realism at an intermediate price, plus a trigger (not shown). The USB electronics are built right into the base, so the joystick can be connected directly to your PC. Unit pricing is USD$1,250 or $2,500 per pair.

NEW: Operator Chair

A new operator chair with industrial controls is a cost-effective way to train harvester operators. This authentic operator seat includes consoles for the left and right hands, mounted on an industrial platform with casters, for easy portability. The chair is configured with multi-function replica controls - USB-ready industrial joysticks that provide portability and easy connectivity. The joysticks feature 8 push-buttons plus a trigger, and are designed for use with many of the simulators VISTA sells.

The operator chair can also be easily reconfigured to work with other personal simulators offered by VISTA Training.
